Looks like a 4th player is ready to launch as soon as the law for the Motorcycle Taxis are passed. Citimuber is serious in being able to help alleviate the plight of our kababayans in their daily commute by providing safe and efficient transport services.
Set up in 2017, Citimuber has been quietly preparing its operations and software infrastructure to gear up for the anticipated legalization of motorcycle taxis. According to founder Rommel Villaroman, “We were hoping to join the second pilot run when it was opened up to additional players last December. We were not given the opportunity then, but we appreciated the feedback from the Technical Working Group so we could further improve our operations. We believe this will help us emerge stronger by taking the necessary steps to make sure we will be ready to go full-blast once the law is passed.”
As proof of how serious Citimuber is about safety, they have set up a 1,600sqm training facility in Caloocan City, where safety riding seminars and rider skills assessments are held.Average of 60 riders daily are trained here about road safety. The facility can handle a maximum of 300 riders per day.
Citimuber is not only strict in the safety and riding training of their riders but also does a very stricy bacground check on everyone. Riders have to undergo a professional third-party background check including NBI and police clearances.
If you have ever flown a drone, you know that there are no fly zones.. same with Citimuber.. there are designated no pick up zones because of dangerous conditions, such as high-crime locations..
Both the rider and booker have a panic button that is automatically enabled once the ride starts. The panic button can be activated to send an emergency call or SMS, either to a police number or to immediate relatives. Both rider and booker are asked to rate each other after every delivery/ride. A rating of 3 stars or below means you’ll never be matched to that person again, which is good is you dont want to see that person again.. lol.. I had things happen to me that a driver cancelled then when I rebooked, I got him again.. lol.
How many riders do they have now? How about 10,000.. Lol, which is a couple thousand more than one of the players in the current TWG run. Let’s hope and pray they get into operations soon.
